On April 28th, the national awards hosted by the Shanghai British Chamber of Commerce (The British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai) were officially announced. Huayou Cobalt won the Sustainable Supply Chain Award, while its recycling division was also shortlisted for the Circular Economy Award. Jin Daqing, Assistant President of Huayou Cobalt, represented the company at the award ceremony.

The Sustainable Development and Innovation Awards, organized by the Shanghai British Chamber of Commerce, aim to recognize enterprises, organizations, and individuals who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in China's sustainable development practices. The awards cover various fields such as green finance, circular economy, and sustainable supply chain. This year, a total of 143 companies and individuals submitted applications for the awards, with 46 being shortlisted. Participants came from 11 countries globally and over 20 cities in China, with foreign-invested enterprises and local enterprises accounting for 40% and 60%, respectively.

Winning this award fully demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to promoting sustainable development and leading the supply chain, reflecting their exceptional efforts and contributions. The judging panel commented, "Huayou has been deeply involved in the sustainable development and social responsibility aspects of the new energy lithium battery industry, becoming an industry leader. They promote global multi-party collaboration and multi-level supplier ESG management, especially setting an example in co-creation among upstream and downstream partners and related stakeholders." In the complex and ever-changing business environment, Huayou Cobalt focuses on innovation as its core, deeply integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concepts, building a green supply chain ecosystem from source control to terminal optimization, establishing a benchmark for sustainable development within the industry, and guiding the global supply chain towards steady progress on the path of green development, ushering in a new era of harmonious coexistence between business and the environment.
Notably, as part of Huayou, Huayou Recycling has established a full lifecycle closed-loop system for battery materials, playing a leading role in the field of lithium battery recycling. It possesses a mature sustainable business model with advanced technology processes and production capacity that meet high standards within China's new energy industry. The recycling division of Huayou Cobalt also received significant recognition from the judges during this award process.
Looking ahead, Huayou Cobalt will prioritize high-quality development as the primary task for the company's operations and development. Working together with partners across various sectors, they aim to continuously explore new paths toward harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
